Ways to Play: Join solo as a free agent, sign up with friends (2–6 players), or lock in a full team (7 players).
Season Guarantee: 10 weeks of games

- Sessions: 10 weeks of games

GAME RULES & REGULATIONS
AIVL 18+ — Rules & Format
Fall 2025
Match Structure
- Games will be played 6 vs 6
- Each weekly match will include 3 sets to 21 points
- Each set must be won by 2 points
- If the result is a 1–1 tie after 2 sets, a tiebreak set to 21 will be played
- The match is won by the team that wins the most sets (3–0, 2–1)
- Once a match concludes, if time remains in the one-hour block, teams will scrimmage for the remainder
Rotation Rules
- Players will rotate onto the court into the #6 position (back row, centre)
- Players rotate off after their serve (#1 position)
Player Requirements
- Players must be on a roster and registered with the league to play
- Any changes or additions to the roster must be approved by the league convenor (email: Mark Peterson)
- Players must play a minimum of 3 regular season games to be eligible for playoffs
- Players with outstanding league fees are not eligible for playoffs
Uniform Policy
- If you misplace your jersey you will be required to purchase a replacement ($40 + HST)
Timeout Rules
- Regular Season: No timeouts
- Playoffs: Each team will have one time-out per match
Roster Minimums
- Teams must have at least 4 players to start the game
- A team is permitted to play with a minimum of 4 players for the entirety of the match. The opposing team may still play with 6.
- If a team has less than 4 players, they will forfeit the match (0–21, 0–21, 0–21, 0–21)
- If there is a forfeit, the players present will scrimmage for the remainder of the one-hour block

In the event of inclement weather on the date of any programs scheduled a decision will be communicated by 4 PM if there will be a cancelation. If there has been no communication the programs will be running as scheduled.
After 4 PM the day of, discretion is left to the lead program instructor to cancel on-site.
A rescheduled session may push back all programming by one week.
Athlete Institute reserves the right to reschedule a session on another night of the week if required. Refunds will not be issued if the athlete cannot make the new date.
If a session gets canceled mid-way through it will not be rescheduled and if it’s canceled ahead of time, it will be rescheduled.
If a clinic is canceled due to inclement weather, the athlete may make up the clinic in a similar session on another night of the week.

Adult League Policy:
The registration deadline is the last official day to register for our programs. This will always be 14 days (about 2 weeks) before the program's start date. You may still register for programs after this deadline; however, you may not receive a jersey for 1-2 weeks.
