Why CrossFit? - Enjoyable
Whether it is your job, your social functions, or your workouts, dreading going to something usually means that you are less and less likely to stay consistent with it. How many times have you heard a friend, family member, or coworker complain about going to do their workout - as if it is some sort of punishment? "Ugh, I guess I better go to the gym tomorrow..."
Working out should be cathartic and enjoyable. You are spending time improving your body. Like reading a good book, learning to cook, taking an art class, etc., you should enjoy what you do so that you continue to do it.
We pride ourselves on providing an enriching and enjoyable experience here at CrossFit Orangeville!
There is something so empowering about setting a PR (personal record), or improving your time on a workout you did a year ago. The combination of compound strength training (squats, deadlifts, presses) coupled with gymnastics movements (push-ups, box jumps, pull-ups) and metabolic conditioning elements (running, rowing, skipping) is a lot of fun and keeps the workouts new and fresh. I tell new members every time they come in: outside of some of the CrossFit "benchmark" workouts that we complete every once in a while, you will essentially never see the same workout more than once!
Going beyond the enjoyment of the workouts themselves, our community is a very large part of what makes CrossFit so special. Our members are all so welcoming and friendly, and we pride ourselves on that. Whether it is a fist bump, or a hand to help you up off the ground, we are all in this to struggle *ahem*, I mean challenge ourselves, together.
